Rental Housing

Housing is one of Mumbai’s biggest challenges, especially for the economically disadvantaged. HDIL believes that rental housing could provide a sustainable solution.

The objectives of Mumbai’s rental housing policy

To provide affordable housing for people from low income groups and economically weaker sections, within close proximity to cities, towns & rural areas, thereby preventing slum creation

The efficient utilization of land by incentivising development through higher Floor Space Index (FSI)

To develop self-contained units of 160 sq. ft. carpet area with standard features in MMRDA managed apartment buildings

The integrated and planned development of infrastructure like roads, water supply, electricity, sanitation & other basic amenities

To ensure an environment management plan integrated within the Master Plan
